HERE COMES THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

YEAHH ITS ANOTHER BOY! Baby Karr was showing us spread eagle what he was and he was proud of it!! We are really excited for Jax to have a little bro to play with! YIPEE!!

I'm So EXCITED and I just cant HIDE IT!!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! YEAHH!! YEAHH!! YEAHH!! Its the big ultrasound at four o clock today, and I am so excited to find out what this little thing in my belly really is!!! Then its jet home and get ready for our ugly sweater/mustache party!! What an exciting day!! Any bets on what its going to be...I think a girl. Guess we'll have to wait a few hours to find out!! Wish me luck!

BE AFRAID!! BE VERY AFRAID!!

Its that festive time of year, when everyone gets to go to BIG FANCY parties, with coworkers, families and friends. Here in our neck of the woods we like to go EXTRA fancy and throw the biggest and best party of them all....THE ANNUAL KARR FRIENDS UGLY SWEATER/MUSTACHE party!! Its getting to be quite the extravaganza!! Matt has officially grown the largest mustache to don his face since meeting me! Blake is looking like Paul Bunyan, and I wont even attempt to tell you what TYLER Kolste is up to, but apparently its such a big surprise, he wont tell ANYONE what he's got up his sleeve!! ( I don't know if its because of his big burly beard/mustache or his sweater..)YIKES!!! Here's a guide to all of the people participating in our party, get those mustaches perfect or you cant come inside!!! Cant wait to see whats in store for FRIDAY night!!!

The Griswald Family gingerbread houses!

It was the ANNUAL Pugh family Gingerbread house building event!! We had loads of fun as usual and heres the result!! Blake and Emily, Jared and Mandy, and Matt and I all had our own houses to build. I decided to go with a traditional house this year and just make it pretty, but Matt decided that he would make a JEEP out of pretzels! He tried to bind the pretzels with Royal icing and that didnt work, so he got out the GLUE gun and he did an AMAZING job!! He was so proud of his Twisted Axle 4x4 jeep gingerbread house!! Jax just wanted to destroy everyones houses so he didnt participate too much, but we always have a great time with everyone during this tradition!! Thanks Mom and Dad for providing us with such a great NIGHT!!

BABY #2 update!!

Heres a little update on Little Baby Karr! I just got back from my doctors appt and all is well!! The baby had such a strong and hard heartbeat, i thought it was my heart! So that made me really happy and we get to find out what it is on December 19!! Yipee!!!

WE'RE BAAAACKK!!!

We just got back from our little weekend getaway with the always entertaining Rawlings fam. We have so much fun in St. George with them, and this trip was a BLAST! We had an Amazing dinner that Marlo prepared, equipped with food that looked like it came directly off of the Martha Stewart show! I was feeling my usual prego-sickness, so I didn't get to enjoy as much I would have liked, but what a show she puts on! Suzette brought up the brilliant idea to have Madison sleep over on Thursday night, so we could go out shopping at 4:30 am!! It was quite the experience, Landon, Suzettete, Matt and I left the house and headed to WALMART! Can we say crazy! I have never experienced any shopping like that in my life! We proceeded to Krumpets(the best and cheapest decorations store in St george, think Tai Pan but more than half the price). It was as bad as walmart! But we made lots of really Great purchases and had a fantastic time! We went and saw four Christmases, which seemed really funny from the previews, but in my opinion, it was a dollar movie for sure! Later that night I got to go and see twilight again, and felt better about it the second time around!(we went to the midnight movie, and I even managed to stay awake!!) Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend!!! Now its time for the Christmas Countdown! YIKES!!

A little Disappointed......

Saturday was the BIG day for me, FINALLY, the day we were able to go and see the TWILIGHT movie. I must say, personally, I felt a little let down. I know the film had a smaller budget and wouldnt be the Blockbuster I had anticipated, but truthfully it seemed to be really low budget to me. At times I felt as if I were watching a made for TV movie(i.e the cheesy music and the way they showed Edward with Bella on his back). I absolutely loved Edward and Bellas performances. I think they did a great job, but was REALLY disappointed in the choices they made with the other vampires! Especially Rosalie and Emmett. I was expecting an unbelievably gorgeous blonde, and was sad to see a mediocre, average looking girl. Emmett to me would be a HUGE muscular man with amazing features, and in the movie seemed like a homie G punk(especially with his red track suit and hat turned sideways!) Another thing that bothered me was Victoria, she was hardly the scary Vampire I had pictured. I know we all have our own characters in our minds, so its practically impossible to please everyone, but she didnt seem the least bit scary to me! All in all, I didn't mind the movie, it wasn't a total BOMB, but I did come out feeling a little disappointed. To each his own, but that's my little movie review.

Anyone who knew me in the 80's and 90's knew i was obsessed and NOW they have RETURNED!!

I'm feeling extra lucky!!

Last night my Mom asked me if I would come with her to BUNKO!! I love bunko and can never turn down a fun filled night of really good food and a bunch of really fun outgoing girls who like to play bunko! My Moms best friend Mel had it at her in laws house and we had such a GREAT time! Mel always coordinates everything perfectly so we had a thanksgiving themed night equipped with a fantastic dinner and then it was time to PLAY! I was feeling extra lucky and knew I was going to have a great night! We started playing and before I knew it bunko after bunko just kept rolling on the dice! By the time the game was over I had six bunkos, which for me is usually unheard of! I also had the high score on my team, but since I was the BIG winner i couldn't win everything, right? I won the most beautiful wreath. Mel is a floral designer and she made me this huge wreath that will last until at least Christmas! I also won a Gladys Knight Christmas CD to get me in the mood for Christmas! It was so much fun, and the ladies were so funny last night! IF you ever get the chance to play Bunko, especially with my moms group, GO! Thanks MOM for inviting me, and thanks Mel for such a GREAT girls night out!

We are having another BABY!! YEAHHH!!

Baby #2 is due May 23, 2009

I am fourteen weeks, and I even kept it secret for that long! We made the BIG announcement last night at Matts birthday party. Instead of writing Happy Birthday Matt we put May 23 on the cake and made everyone guess what it was! Emily was the big winner and screamed it out! I felt kind of bad taking a little away from Matts party, but its pretty much the only time we have both families together! We are really excited to have another one!

Heres a little update of what our family has been up to!!!
We had a really fun party last night with my side of the family. We ate dinner, carved pumpkins, and just had lots of fun laughing and visiting with everyone!!! We were also able to go to Lagoon with Blake and Emily and we had a BLAST, and the last picture is of Jax who had the time of his life in MOAB. He is so obsessed with Jeeps and he had such a great time with everyone! We will be posting more pics of our Halloween adventures, so stay tuned!

HELP!!!

So halloween is almost a week away, and for those of you who dont know it, I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! Mainly because I get to get dressed up in a costume!! I have a slight dilema this year, though, I cant find anything I want to be..So i am asking for advice from all of my friends. Help me decide what to be for halloween!! Matt and I always do a couples costume so send your CREATIVE ideas my way!!

Fall is here, let the traditions BEGIN!

I love this time of year! We have a fun tradition to do dinner in a pumpkin and then carve pumpkins and watch a fun movie like Hocus Pocus! This is a fun activity if you have kids and it makes a great easy dinner. Try it you'll love it!!

DINNER IN A PUMPKIN

1 sm. to med. pumpkin

1 onion

2 tbsp. vegetable oil

1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef

1 1/2 c. cooked rice

1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained

2 tbsp. soy sauce

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained

1 can cream of chicken soup

Cut off top of pumpkin and thoroughly clean out seeds and pulp. Print an appropriate face on the front of pumpkin with a permanent marking pen. In a large skillet, saute onions in oil until tender. Add meat and brown. Drain drippings from skillet. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, mushrooms, and soup. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cooked rice and water chestnuts. Spoon mixture into cleaned pumpkin shell.
Replace pumpkin top and place entire pumpkin with filling on a baking sheet. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until inside meat of pumpkin is tender. Put pumpkin on a plate. Remove lid and serve. For vegetable, scoop out cooked pumpkin. Serves 6.

GO SEE BODY WORLDS 3 Exhibit....I just got back and it was amazing! It was one of the most interesting exhibits I have ever seen, you are missing out if you dont go!!

Body Worlds EXHIBIT!!!

I am so excited to go and see Body Worlds today. This is an exhibit of real people who have donated their bodies to science and have been preserved in a special way . All of the cadavers have been displayed in different ways to show the human body in a more interesting way than just looking at a cadaver on a table..Its at the Leonardo at the Library in SLC and this is supposed to be an amazing exhibit. I am SUPER excited to go and see what its all about!!

My favorite thing..this week!!

As most of you can tell, I have been a huge slacker in the blogging dept, and have not posted one post this whole entire week!!! I got a comment from Natalie saying she was having withdrawls from my favorite things blogs, so heres my new favorite thing....Sudafed Severe cold!! I have had the WORST cold this week, and for all of you who have kids, you know that when you are sick, you just keep on going, but really all I want to do is just lay down and DIE!! Hopefully I am getting over this HIDEOUS cold, but based off of the way I felt this morning, its not looking good, SO theres my update, and hopefully I will be a little more exciting NEXT week!!!

Just kidding..My friends and I have decided to be really ambitious and go to yoga every Tuesday and Thursday night. Tuesday was the first day of class and can I just tell you it was killer!! I haven't been in a long time and forgot how doing all of these crazy poses and holding them for like five minutes each, can make your muscles shake like they are trying to pop out of your arms, legs and pretty much everywhere else.. My instructor was INSANE she did a pose that made her look like she was floating!! Picture a girl instead of a guy standing on us trying to make us more flexible and that's pretty much what it was like.. So tonight i get to do it all over again!! Despite all of the sore muscles and crazy instructors I am actually looking forward to it!

I am so LUCKY....

I heard this new song on the radio yesterday and it made me really think about how lucky I am..

I am so LUCKY I have an amazing husband, who works so hard and tries his hardest to support our family..

I am so LUCKY I have a supportive family who is there for me whenever I need anything at all...

I am so LUCKY for friends who make us laugh, give us support and make our lives better because they are around us...

and last but definitely not least..

I am so LUCKY to have a healthy boy, who makes each day an adventure and reminds me every day what a piece of heaven really feels like..

Please take a second to remember how LUCKY we all are to have each other, to be healthy and to be loved!!

ITS Time for another Twisted Axle 4x4 outing!
For those of you who dont know, my hubby and his friends decided to start a 4x4 jeep club. We go out on outings twice a month with all of the members of our club! Its so much fun! Today we are heading out to a place called Rattlesnake Trail. Its a pretty tough course and since its raining I imagine its going to be even more interesting. Wish us luck!!
